Meaning of life

Boring

I took a casual life for a long time during the past 2 month. I don’t set some goals for myself except the regular work time. I can do whatever I can do. This kind of life lasts for a long time, but I found it’s more easy to feel bored in this status.

It’s fun to try different things, different hobbies, but it’s also easy to stop it if I don’t set a goal or enjoy that deeply. I’m big fan of pingpong, I will participate the game every Friday evening. But for others, like piano or tennis, I don’t have a regular schedule, it’s much hard for me to maintain a regularing practice. AKA, it’s too easy to stop.

I don’t know the answer, just write it down to see if I can explore some potential solution for that.

This makes me miss the time when I focus on building. it’s the opposite situation. I have plenty of things to do. I almost don’t have any free time. I enjoy that a lot, but it’s still hard to maintain that kind of status for a long time. Maybe the solution is to be mixture of the two status.

Reading is a good way to waste time when I’m bored. Reading is a little bit magical because it can bring both reset and thinking at the same time. More important, it can trigger my thinking motivation with low effort.

Reflection

I write the second part 2 month later than that for first part. I feel shamed to only publish the first part. I think I get answers now, maybe not.

It seems that I should experience more about the world, there are many way to experience, like reading, traveling, working, activities. I haven’t done that enough. The maeaning of life might be to feel how the life could be.

I get a post from tombkeeper’s blog, if you feel meaningless, you can list the books you have read and places you have visited, list what you haven’t. then you will find life is short.

I’m reading the automic habits recently. I don’t have a specific book list to read, but I know I haven’t read much books that I want. Moveover, I don’t think it’s a good idea to show the number of books that I should read. The information in book is hard to evaluate the value like money.

Another angle is about death. I don’t want to regret when I’m dead in future. So, let me do thing that prevent me from regreting when I’m dead.
